{"id":19780,"date":"2016-04-11T23:11:32","date_gmt":"2016-04-11T21:11:32","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.yachter.fr\/non-categorise\/buck-dannys-aircraft-carrier-is-broken\/"},"modified":"2016-04-11T23:11:32","modified_gmt":"2016-04-11T21:11:32","slug":"buck-dannys-aircraft-carrier-is-broken","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.yachter.fr\/en\/general-news-about-boating-and-yachting\/buck-dannys-aircraft-carrier-is-broken\/","title":{"rendered":"Buck Danny&#8217;s aircraft carrier is broken"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Children of the 60s will remember this American pilot who never hesitates to risk his life to save his comrades and to do his duty.<\/p>\n<p>Good feelings, a tempered character, a sense of humor &#8211; the archetypal American hero, much in demand at the time.<\/p>\n<p>The aircraft carrier appears in the &#8220;Adventures of Buck Danny&#8221; series: &#8220;Green Death Valley&#8221;, &#8220;Sharks in the China Sea&#8221; and &#8220;Ghost Queen&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>It was the setting for part of Top Gun<\/p>\n<p>Serving from 1957 to 1993, he took part in the Vietnam War.<\/p>\n<p>She was scrapped in 2015, after a 4-month journey from the West Coast to Texas, unable, due to her size, to cross the Panama Canal. It is now being dismantled at its last yard. <\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.yachter.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/04\/uss-ranger-1.png\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-2197\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-2197\" src=\"https:\/\/www.yachter.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/04\/uss-ranger-1.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"950\" height=\"709\"><\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Children of the 60s will remember this American pilot who never hesitates to risk his life to save his comrades and to do his duty.
