In this short video, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.yachtingmonthly.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Yachting Monthly<\/a> shows us the practical use of fire extinguishers on board a boat.<\/p>\n<p>A reminder: in the event of a fire on board, do not use a fire extinguisher on a frying pan. The only solution is a blanket, fireproof if possible, or any heavy, non-synthetic garment to smother the flames.  <\/p>\n<p>Fire extinguishers are divided into 3 categories:<\/p>\n<p>Class A Materials that burn, such as wood, fabrics, paper, rubber and plastic.<\/p>\n<p>Class B Liquids that burn, such as gasoline, kerosene and grease.<\/p>\n<p>Class C Electrical equipment<\/p>\n<p>Gas extinguishers should be placed in the engine hold, as gunpowder can cause considerable damage to the engine.
