The meridian calculation is the most instructive. But it can only be done once a day, when the sun is at its zenith, i.e. on the meridian of the place where you are. <\/p>\n

The calculations are simple and easy to understand.<\/p>\n

In practice, however, it’s not the most effective.<\/p>\n

Calculating with height lines involves geometric relationships and more complex calculations.<\/p>\n

But by automating all the calculations, it’s the most widely used in practice once you’ve got it right. It can be done at any time <\/p>\n
