Press review: La Ciotat shipyards inaugurate a superyacht elevator<\/h2>\n\n

Named after a titan…Atlas lifts the world’s biggest yachts. Already operational for several days, it was officially inaugurated with great fanfare this Tuesday at the La Ciotat shipyards<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n

This elevator is capable of lifting yachts up to 115 meters long and weighing up to 4,300 tons. The installation of this platform required 30 months’ work at a cost of 77 million euros.<\/p>\n\n

“It’s like a giant Tetris: the boat enters and wedges itself on the platform, which then lifts it up and pivots it so that it goes, on the rails, to park”.<\/em><\/p>\n\n
