Until now, the trend in electromobility has been towards 400 to 800 volts.
It is up to 25% more efficient than conventional electric motors and requires no rare earth elements for its production, making it both environmentally sustainable and resource-friendly.
Molabo takes a different route. With just 48 volts, it creates a new system that is absolutely safe, even in the event of an accident.
For almost 130 years, complicated copper coils have been used in electric motors. VOLABO uses simple aluminum rods instead.
By individually controlling these rods, a virtual transmission can be created – a feature unprecedented in electromobility – with an effect comparable to that of a manual transmission in internal combustion engine vehicles.
