What is the Visa de Reconnaissance?
18 April 2023After a long wait, the first yacht in the new GTX range has entered the water: the ideal combination of elegance, volume and the characteristic Pershing thrill.
The first Pershing launch
2023 is an important year for the Mondolfo shipyard, which is launching the first Pershing GTX116. This innovative, exciting and disruptive model, with its revolutionary concept and design, entered the water on February 7 at Fano, ushering in a new era of construction for the brand.
This first Pershing GTX116 confirms its sporting DNA and enhances the concept of comfort by offering plenty of open-air space, areas designed to be in direct contact with the water, and exceptional habitability guaranteed by the new layout of the five cabins.
Sporty brand identity
The sleek, streamlined profile is emblematic of the brand’s sporty personality, which is underlined in the bow area by a signature styling feature referencing luxury SUV automotive imagery and identifying the new Pershing GTX116 as a SUY or Sport Utility Yacht. This yacht from the new range is painted in a new shade of grey, with a special shade of blue for the deckhouse, while generous glass surfaces flood the interiors with natural light.
The garage can accommodate a tender over 5 meters long, a jet ski and other water toys, while the exclusive 39-square-meter beach club features a teak deck protected by an electro-hydraulic railing that opens to connect the beach area to the swim platform, creating an immense waterside space. The 40-square-meter sundeck, accessed from the stern via two external staircases on either side of the boat, houses the second helm station and is designed with generous space for gathering and enjoying the onboard lifestyle, not least thanks to the shelter provided by the carbon hard top. This area also includes a comfortable and generous saloon, equipped with a large bar.
The first Pershing GTX116 is equipped with a triple waterjet propulsion system, which can be combined with three optional MAN V12 2000 engines, each rated at 2,000 mhp, for a top speed of 35.5 knots and a cruising speed of 29.5 knots. The standard engines are three MAN V12 1800s rated at 1,800 mhp.
