METHOD AND ROUTE
The Yachter method is based on flexible hybrid training, combining distance learning, individualized coaching and face-to-face practical assessments.
Depending on your profile, your preparation can be supplemented by additional training courses (theoretical or practical), as well as specific refresher courses, particularly in maritime English.
The Master 200GT Commercial Yachting certificate of competence is issued in accordance with regulation II/3 of the STCW Convention.
Target audience
This course is designed for :
- Experienced boaters wishing to become more professional
- marine professionals in career development
- boat owners wishing to operate in a commercial context
- sailors or skippers wishing to regularize their situation, in particular Yachtmaster holders wishing to have a compliant certificate.
Preparation time
Preparation generally lasts from 6 months to 1 year, depending on your sailing experience and the qualifications you already hold at the time of entry.
The pace is flexible and supervised, to ensure effective progress towards the required level.
Examination periods
Training courses and certification exams are organized in partnership with an approved Belgian training center, generally at the rate of 2 to 3 complete sessions per year:
- March and May
- September to November
Some stages of the course require physical presence, particularly for practical training and exams.
Preparation and training sessions can be offered in different areas, particularly in the south of France, depending on modules and availability.
Additional STCW-specific training (CFBS, radio, etc.) can be carried out at the centers of your choice, depending on your location.
As the number of places is limited, registration for the exam sessions is subject to prior validation of your level by The Yachter.
