The kind of projects we’d like to see flourishing on our coasts, where yachtsmen aren’t just turkeys to be plucked at will by the various institutions.
The Signa Maris project aims to promote southern Italy’s many natural and cultural attractions. A network of marinas has been created to help visitors appreciate the historical, cultural and scenic excellence of the “Bel Paese”.
The regions of southern Italy concerned are Calabria, Campania, Puglia and Sicily, in short the whole of Italy’s “boot”.
Signa Maris considers the Ports to be the a natural gateway to the cultural and natural heritage to which they provide access.
For Signa Maris, boating is a wide-ranging aspect of tourism, and pleasure boating is one of the levers for promoting it.
“The marina is therefore presented as an element that increases accessibility to cultural and natural heritage, whose objective is to promote territorial excellences, conveying additional tourist flows to those that already exist.”
