Port du Havre 3D view of port activity
28 July 2016Comment by Thierry and Geneviève on the mooring of their boat in the Calanque Di A Catena in Bonifacio
Hello, thank you very much
I was reading your writings about the Catena Calanque and we have been coming back there 3 times already because it is very practical and not expensive (25 euros for one night).
What would be wise to add is that you absolutely mustn’t set your anchor because there’s a mother chain in the middle (we’ve kindly helped people unhook their anchor with the diving gear) and from there all the slings go to the cliff. Put in the zodiac to fetch it and bring it to the front of the boat, then bring two sheets (port and starboard for the stern) ashore to tie up. Not an easy maneuver in a crosswind, as the harbor rarely helps. We’ve noticed that there’s a lot of mutual help between boats.
Also for supermarkets, there are two right next to each other: Star, very well stocked, and Super U.
