Very popular with many Marseillais, but there are few places in Marseilles where you can enjoy a quiet café-thé-gateau.

Le Café debout, there are several in Marseille, but this one is particularly good.
Small, friendly place, with very good cakes and chocolates to taste on the spot. The welcome is friendly, and don’t hesitate to ask for the coffee and tea menu to buy in bulk, or to consume on the spot on the pleasant little terrace, where the choice is mind-boggling.
You’ll be able to travel with the aromas of a coffee from Guatemala, Brazil, India or Kenya. A real treat for lovers of fine, rare coffees!
It’s also particularly famous for its terrace, on a rather “classy” street, where you can take out your sunglasses – there’s a whole parade of them on the street!
Quaint coffee shop, close to the Vieux Port and the Opera. Great choice of freshly grounded coffees and teas to go. Outside seating. Open 8:30am-7pm. Closed Sun.
