Stéphane Delachaux shares his experience training for the Master Commercial Yachting 200GT certification

On March 9, 2026, The Yachter launched its Var edition of Les Escales The Yachter in La Seyne-sur-Mer, on the premises of the CFA Formed Campus. The evening was designed as a meeting place for maritime enthusiasts, trainees and former graduates, in a setting conducive to exchanging ideas, sharing experiences and networking.
An event dedicated to yachting enthusiasts
This stopover in the Var brought together a variety of profiles: people considering a career change, students currently in training and former students who have now graduated.
Exchanges allowed us to answer each other’s questions, share sailing experiences from the four corners of the globe, and even bring up concrete opportunities, such as offering to skipper another participant’s boat.
These moments were rich in testimonies, which allowed :
- answer questions about The Yachter’s training courses
- better understand the expectations and requirements of the course
- share feedback on training courses, between students and with The Yachter team.
Immerse yourself in the world of yachting
After a presentation by The Yachtsman and the CFA Formed Campus, participants were invited to share a buffet dinner, while enjoying the virtual reality simulators on site. It was an immersive experience that allowed them to project themselves into the role of captain and grasp the realities of the profession!
