The Marins Pompiers have a sense of humor and hooked a fine fish on April 1.
The fourth fire and rescue boat of the Marseille marine fire department was christened on Friday April1.
The launch was built by a Parma-based shipyard specializing in the manufacture of nautical rescue craft. It is powered by two Yanmar 315 hp 6-cylinder engines and two Hamilton waterjet turbines. This allows her to reach 34 knots.
The launch was christened QM Repetto, in homage to Petty Officer Patrick Repetto, who died in action.
