Philippe de Korsak shares his experience of the Master 200 GT Captain training course

Philippe de Korsak has completed the Master 200 GT The Yachtsman course.

A former French racing driver and now coach, Philippe de Korsak won the Trophée Andros Élite in 1999 and is an official driver for Toyota and Fiat. An entrepreneur, in 2007 he founded the Circuit des Écuyers and created PK Développement, specializing in the restoration and sale of historic vehicles.

Philippe has been a keen sailor and maritime enthusiast for many years, and has completed the Master 200 GT The Yachtsman course. He shares with us his feedback on the training he underwent.

The Yachter : “ What was your background as a sailor before joining The Yachter? “

Philippe: “My background as a sailor before taking The Yachtsman course:

• Family sailing from age 11,
• Convoying and selling sail and motor boats in Brittany during my student years,
• European Jet Ski Champion in 1989,
• From 1990 to the present day, owner of numerous boats (9 meters to 17 meters). I’ve never stopped sailing, particularly in the Mediterranean (Corsica, Balearics, Sardinia, etc.), but I also have some sailing experience in the Pacific and the West Indies, as well as in Florida and the Bahamas. “

Philippe: “I took the Master 200 GT Captain’s course.
